O SOAPS™ is a green company and an online soap boutique headquartered in Los Angeles, California. We are dedicated to pursuing environmental practices, all-natural ingredients, honest business conducts, women issues, and beautiful skin health literacy for all ages. The "O" in O SOAPS™ stands for original, organic and orgasmic. The essence of "O" also embodies the circle of life in our ecosystem that links our heritage, destiny, culture and experience with that of Mother Nature. In its simplest form, the "O" similar to the water molecule h2O represents the pureness and abundance in nature. As water is essential for all life on Earth...O SOAPS™ is essential for all beautiful skin on you.
Founder's Message
In the process of discovering myself, I have also discovered this company. The company was established in 2009. I am a woman entrepreneur, educator, artist, and technologist. I have been a student
and practitioner of healthy living since 2002. While growing
up in Portland, Oregon, I have come to appreciate the fresh air in
the Pacific Northwest, the tranquility of Oregon's natural resources
and the city's green life-style. Due to a career opportunity, I
relocated to Newport Beach, California post college. During the next
few years, I fell in love with Yoga and became intrigued by the
California organic culture. I started practicing Ashtanga and Iyengar
yoga styles, learning about sustainability practices, eating vegan and
raw foods, learning about the truth behind organic labels, discovering
myself and pursuing my entrepreneurial dreams. Deep down, I like seeing the world, I like thinking about the world, but ultimately I need there to be some sort of practical outcome, which is about improving the world, making things unselfish, and leaving behind a lighter footprint on the planet.
O SOAPS™ took
about 2.5 years of R & D to establish and the company concept grew
out of my frustrations with the lack of quality information and awareness about organic soaps in the
marketplace. My quest for a truly satisfying bar of soap that can
clean my skin without oily residues, irritation to my acne-prone pores,
unnecessary toxic ingredients, artificial scents, and wasteful
packaging - all led me to an exhilarating and passionate journey with natural
soaps. I have personally tried almost 100 different brands of
organic soaps from private label to main-stream retail brands (and yes,
taking lots of showers). While organic soaps are always better in
quality, texture and experience than non-organic store brands, there
are major differences in the techniques and the ingredients used in
all natural ingredients hand-made and cold-crafted soaps. In my diverse circle of girlfriends, I have seen the best and worst of skin types from flawlessly vibrant to unknowingly damaged skin due to things like one's poor choice of skincare products, unprotected sun exposure, poor food choices and a lack of skin literacy. My mission is to bring awareness and wisdom of skin health through a commodity, soaps,
which we often over-look its significance in our daily lives. (P.s. If you
shower 75% of the days in a year, that's close to 275 showers a year or
roughly 2750 times in the next 10 years.)
The formulations of O SOAPS™ are
extensively researched and tested personally by me and my growing list
of volunteers before its product release. Our products are free
of contaminants, toxic chemicals, artificial ingredients, animal
byproducts, and Corporate America greediness. I
believe the best and the most beautiful things on Earth come
from its natural, pure and unaltered states. I want everyone to feel
